Gone Fishin'

I can't fit blogging into my life right now. Might be back later. For those that know me, you can find me on Flickr or Facebook, or even in New York very soon! Thanks to everyone for your support and friendship over the years. I've met some really cool people who have become great friends in real life. Blogging is such a unreal medium and I'll miss it, as well as all the diverse people who I've come into contact with. I wish everyone well on their own journeys and adventures!

Rock 'n' Roll Yoga

Look at this yoga mat! I was talking to my teacher Sarah about getting a Manduka mat a couple of weeks ago and today she came on over and handed me one she hadn't been using, with a guitar print! How unreal is she!? I feel very humbled and a little embarrassed to receive such a generous gift. She wouldn't take payment for it either so I'm going to donate the money to her Off The Mat Into the World challenge. Would you call this "pay it forward"?

Today's class was unreal too. There was chanting, singing and lots of energy. Love the Jivamukti style. If you're ever in Newtown in (Sydney) Australia, get yourself to one of Sarah's Jivamukti classes at Samadhi Yoga. She is amazing both on and off the mat.

Alrighty, off again...hope everyone has a fantastic week!

PS. I bought a Jade Harmony yoga mat also and have been using it for a week now, impressed. No slipping at all. So now I've got both mats that are considered "da bomb" of yoga mats. Will do a review in 6 or so months time. Need to really use them before I decide which is better for my own personal practice.

Week 3 - Operation New York

Week 1: 78.0kg
Week 2: 77.1kg
Week 3: 77.5kg
Loss/Gain: +400g

This week was a little more tough for me. I work in television and on Tuesday night, we had the Top Model Live Finale at Luna Park. Now that was a long day. I had choices and made bad ones and that seemed to unravel my whole week because I was then extremely tired. I hadn't eaten since 2pm and finished at 11pm. The production office backstage was filled with boxes of chocolate, chips, coke and fruit juice and you bet we were all gorging on it! We were given dinner vouchers but seriously, I forgot to go over at the specified time to get any because I was too busy setting up.

Then came Thursday and I had done something so incredibly stupid at work, that I thought I'd be fired! The response that I got was a whole lot of laughing instead because I was so bloody worried about what I had done. Damn Catholic guilt, it got me good but now come Saturday, I can finally let it go. Everyone else has.

So this week for me has been about stress, lack of sleep, very little exercise and bad, bad food choices. Not very Operation New York now is it. Here's to a better week starting today. I'm off for my walk now after doing some yoga and then off to my Nutrition class. Seriously, with everything I am learning in my studies, you'd think I would totally lay off the junk because what's in it is so so scary!

I just came back from my walk and realised exactly when my lack of activity became apparent, when I stopped documenting it! Back to my monthly lists for a while....
