Detox - Day 4

Still going strong and feeling good. I have no regrets in doing this at all and the food is great but it's become glaringly obvious to me that I eat like this already when I am eating well (except I normally eat dairy, fish and the odd piece of meat if someone else is cooking).

The main thing was to kick-start me back into eating well and it's certainly doing that. The scales are showing a 2kg loss also, whoot!

Pre-Breakfast
- squeeze of lemon in glass of hot water & a organic carrot, apple and ginger juice
Breakfast - brown rice porridge with poached pears & walnuts **very filling, nice
Snack - small red apple
Lunch - roast pumpkin & caramelized onion frittata with a side salad & balsamic vinaigrette ** never had a bad frittata, yum!
Snack - vegie sticks with beetroot dip
Dinner - marinated tofu stir fry with baby corn, snowpeas & red onion & cashews **blergh, not a fan of tofu so ate around it, this was really nice
Additonal - 2L water, green tea w/ jasmine, peppermint tea and a a scoop of both LSA (linseed, sunflower, almond mix) & psyllium husks in water
Exercise - rest day, a little too tired

More photos here.

Good result and well worth it, even if you had to eat around the tofu - bleurgh! The rest of today's food sounds good though.
Keep up the good work hon.

Damn, that frittata looks so yummy! What did they marinate the tofu in?

thanks for documenting all of this mary. i don't know if i'd actually go through with an order but it's definitely giving me some ideas for potential quick dinners 'round here.

Looks like a week of big losses this week! We rule!

I love frittata - I made one for lunch the other day. They are so easy and filling. I just chucked some leftover vegies in a ramekin, mixed in some eggs and put a bit of cheese on top - delish!

hey its interesting to see the variety of food (colour, colour, colour!!) and the serving sizes so thanks for posting pictures. I am sure it will give us all something to go by espcially after the indulgent holiday season. and 2 kg! damn.

Sometimes we need something to remind us that we already know the right way to eat; a bit of a push to restart our habits.

I sit here salvating over your photos. Not only at the food but how professional they look. And then I remember this girl knows what she's doing with a camera AND an editing system. If I figured out either I'd be alright LMAO

I think it sounds worth it so far (but have you complained about the fish?) Lets see what the result shows on day 11 and then 1 week after :)
