Take the OM Yoga Challenge

"Come to a yoga class every single day for 30 days -- it can be any class from advanced to restorative to gentle/basics. The point is to show up and practice with others. This creates a two-pronged approach to our practice -- we are dedicating time and energy toward our own benefit as well as to others. By breathing together, showing up whether we are tired or in a bad mood, making a commitment to share quiet time and space together -- this is a concrete way to share the dedication of your practice with others."

Alrighty, I'm in but because OM Yoga is in New York, it might make it a bit hard (although really, it is time I visit my sister there!!). I won't necessarily go to a class every day because I'm not that financially equipped but I will do a yoga session each day. It'll be interesting to see how I go on both a mental and physical level.

I am also planning on eating less processed food and cook more. I've been a real slack arse in the kitchen lately and baked beans on toast can get a bit boring.

Have fun taking your own yoga challenge.

I know what you mean about the kitchen. It is too easy sometimes just to grab some convenience food. The other day I needed some apple sauce and didn't have a jar. I was in a panic. Then I asked myself how hard is it to just stew some apples. Result - delish. I needed some breadcrumbs - crumbed a couple of slices in the blender- easy and fresh. Have fun with your cooking challenge too. :)

Yes...good luck with your challenge. ;)

I am doing the same thing in regards to eating less processed foods etc...food is so much better when it is whole and fresh anyway.

Thanks for the email..I fixed my blog now so you can comment..(silly blogger)

Have a good one x

I have just started yogalates - and I love it!!
Will aim to do a session each day while the kids are at school...one more sleep:)

...and for a reward for my losses lately, I have brought myself a set of yogalates dvd's - they should arrive very soon:)

One day I want to get into Yoga..but right now my mind isn't there. I find it too boring and I want to start moving instead. I might be in that mind frame that I need to moving fast to get any benefit for my body. I of course know that isn't true.

Good luck with your challenge. My husband loves to eat baked beans on toast when he is in London with his friends. He never eats it here though.

Gee I have never done yoga. Funny thing is my DS gave me a yoga kit an dDD pulle dit out of the cupboard last night and said I should try it... You may inspire me yet again.. All the weird names of poses worry me a bit though.. And not sure I can switch my mind off to be restful. Will look at it soon though. Good luck with it Mary.

Fantastic!! You are going to be so toned. What a great disciplined thing to set yourself. I have missed the beginning and it may take me another few days to get organised but I may just to a half om yoga month. Will let you know :)

P.S. Watch out for those intercostal muscles LOL
