Nordic Walking AustraliaThey offer a free trial class for anyone who would like to try out Nordic Walking. If you were to book a group of 5-10 people, that would be enough to make up a group of your own and they would be quite happy to run a free trial class for your group, at a time you would prefer.
If you decide after the free trial walk that you would like to take up Nordic Walking, they offer a number of packages:
- A package including a pair of poles and 4 lessons which is $199.00
- Monthly membership to a walk group at $69.00
- A package including a pair of poles and 3 months m'ship for $295.00
- Poles purchased on their own are $150.00

Hi Mary, checked diary Im free to go to fitness expo. Let me know if it gets off the ground. Have copied out your tomato and pasta recipe for dinner tonight. Looks great. Thanks heaps,
Julie
I'm There!!!!
I already booked my flights :P
I have to go EAS has a stand there and I get to meet all the body for life gurus. LoL
Hope you all manage to meet up again.
I was actually reading about the nordic walking some time ago!
Expo sounds great.
Once again, I will have to wait for the bridge to be built across Bass Strait!
I am very keen to go to the Expo this year as I missed last years event. I followed your link and if you go to the registration page you can register as a visitor on-line and you save yourself the $17.00 entry fee (that's if I read it correctly) I don't think it is restricted to any day other than you can't use it on the Friday if you are not an industry member.
I agree with your comment on the website lack of information. If they think their prices are scary and that's why they don't have them showing, then they need to rethink the costing structure. If they are busy anyway they should list them and let people make their own decisions rather than having to chase people down with emails. I am definitely having a "grrrrr" moment with you. However, I think booking a group for a trial lesson would still be fun - and free - and would be a great mornings entertainment. Then we are all able to make up our own minds if we want to continue. I probably wouldn't but still want to do the trial :D
Thanks for finding all this stuff Mary. I have been searching like crazy for a Sydney equivalent to the 1,000 steps that Melbournites can do on the Kakoda Memorial trail and as soon as I do I will send the info out..
Hope you have a cracker day today :D
That sounds like a great idea to meet at the fitness expo.
Hope life is good in your neck of the woods Miss Mary!
Cheers
Not sure if they have that here - but my next project is to learn how to race walk! I clearly have no issues about making a fool of myself in public...
