I've failed on the first day of Week 7. I managed 1 burger, 5 beers, 3 slices of pizza and 3 pieces of garlic bread so far. So much for my previous post about not having it anymore. So now while the guys are watching the new Doctor Who, I am trying to sober myself up so I don't eat any more bad food! I really lose my ability to make healthy choices after a few beers. Good thing I am working tomorrow so I've stopped drinking at least. Blah.
I also bought the damn mp3 player even before I reached my 5kg goal. I'll just work it in reverse now. To have earned it, I WILL GET TO MY MINI GOAL BY SATURDAY.

Week 7 - lost .6kg
It looks like I have consistently lost weight by doing pretty much the same kind of thing each week. I have even had bad food days and still lost weight. Whoot! I am now walking a solid 5km each morning which takes me about 1 hour. It also gives me 4 bonus points which I don't spend on food. Walking works for me and it's great for me time.
I am still having trouble drinking my water though so that'll be this week's challenge. I really need to DRINK MY WATER. I am also going to change my snacking habits. I'll try go for a piece of fruit before a processed bar, whenever I can.
Now I am going to walk my butt off this week so I can get that damn mp3 player!

Energy Levels
It's been a strange week so far. I seem to be craving more food. I have still managed to stick to my points so far this week but with less favourable foods. I think I will have to go to a decent fruit market today and stock up on some good fruit and vegies, for inspiration.
I am wondering. One of the WW mentors (I won't use the word leader anymore..haha) said that you can eat anything as long as you stick to your points. But having experienced a couple of days of eating junk within the points range, I am not looking or feeling too crash hot. My energy levels went down noticeably too. I don't think I want to do it this way. I feel much better when I just don't have the pizza, carbonara, cake or coke. I don't even miss it so I rather just not have it anymore. It also gave me the worst tummy pains (and toilet experience) I've not had since starting WWs.
My thoughts now go out to A Girl Running. I hope your little girl is okay and you too!

Week 6 - lost .8kg
Whoot! I am on a good thing and feel awesome! I switched my exercise routine to the morning (before breakfast) and doubled the time. Now I exercise for an hour each day before the sun gets too crazy and have more time in my day. It was too easy to put off exercise if I planned to do it in the evening. Now my body clock gets me up just before 7am and gets me in my trackies and ready to go, without even thinking about it.

Week 5 - lost .6kg
I am enjoying the meetings so far but it has been a bit of a let down because the usual Leader (who I have not met yet) has not been able to make it to the meetings. I have had a different Leader for each meeting so far. I keep hearing great things about her though so looking forward to meeting her. I am still feeling really motivated after I attend the meets and that is the main thing. The people who do stay for the meetings are really nice and interesting people. I am continually suprised by all the walks of life that decide to do the WW plan.
I also finally realised that my coke (cola) withdrawal was making me cranky.
I think I need to start doing some weight training to tone my arms. A fellow WW asked me to go to the gym with her but truthfully, I am too scared. I think I am happy with exercising in the park and at home. I don't want to become too fanatical. I just want to be healthier with a walk/jog everyday.
This week's commitment = drink my 6 x 250ml glasses of water per day. I find it really hard to drink water and am finding this a real challenge. I think it may even be the water from my tap that just tastes bad. I'll have to find another way to drink my quota by adding a small amount of cordial. Some of the things mentioned at a meeting was to add lime or even mint leaves to the water. Sounds good.

Week 4 - lost 1kg
Here is one of my favourite recipes so far.
Spiced Salmon and Bean Salad.
(for 1 person, double ingredients for 2 etc).

- 1/2 cup canned cannellini beans
- 1tbs sliced red onion
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 180g salmon fillet (atlantic, yum!)
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- salad with no dressing, on side

Week 3 - lost 1.4kg
Managed to not be tempted at all by the chocolate everywhere for Easter. I just didn't crave it. After exercising especially, I'd hate to stuff myself after working so damn hard.
I lost another .4kg but gained .4kg with having dread extensions put in. They will last for at least 3 months so I am making reaching my goal weight, in line with having to do something fantastic to my hair again after reaching goal.
