Maintenance Week 1

Whoot! My leader started me on maintenance today and gave me the WW Goal keyring. I'm excited. The rules are that I have to stay within the WW Weight Range and not go 1kg over the top of the range, which is 79kg. 77kg is now my WW Goal Weight for the records.

I put on 500g since the last time I weighed in but I know that's nothing in the big scheme of things. Look at how far I have come. I am still amazed when I catch myself in the mirror and try clothes on. I am starting to buy size 12 (Aus) clothing too.

The whole maintenance and lifetime goal thing makes sense finally also. I thought it was more strict but it's about staying within your healthy weight range. My personal weight range is still 75-70kg but I am really happy with where I am right now. I'll see what happens on maintenance.

My leader also says that I'll probably lose a bit more while on maintenance. I'm glad I don't have to stick to a specific number now, just as long as I stay within my WW range 79-63kg. This seems much more realistic.

Thank you so much for your support guys!!

So this means your ww goal weight is 79kg?

I think you will really enjoy maintenance. Its so exciting to see how to make ww work for life and see how many pts it takes to maintain your weight.

Size 12 is perfect :o)

Congratulations Mary!! You have worked hard and stuck to the ww program so well that you really deserve the keyring and to be on maintenance now.

That is fantastic. I think you have a ww meeting that is right on the money and all about a physical and mental health.

How cool is it that you are at goal. I am going to move you to my *special* section ;) And how fantastic is it that you can fit into some 12's. Blooming heck you are a legend. Whoooo Hooooo.

I am jealous now. You and Linda are maintaining together. I better get my skates on or I'll be left behind. Naaaah :)

Re: Maggie's column, she doesn't mention the diet in this one, it's about clothes. However, in a previous mag she said that low GI (didn't mention a specific book or name of diet) was the easiest eating plan she had been on and that the weight really just come off without any problems or inconveniences. Sounds good to me!

Awesome stuff Mary! You have done so well, I'm sure maintenance will prove to be an exciting challenge for you. I agree with Sarah - with the whole 'shaking of the metabolism' thing...congrats on the size 12 also! I'm a size 12 up top but unfortunately I have one of those JLO booty's so I'm still a size 14 in pants....but hey this is not about me it's about you so a big YAY for you! Have a great week

That is fantastic Mary. The pressure is off now and you can just enjoy your lovely trim healthy body. If you lose more then so be it, but you have a great attitude about your weight range. Well done!!!! Happy maintaining!!!

That sounds more realistic. I have always wondered why WW are so strict with the 1kg thing - I mean, how much does a woman retain in fluid at TTOM!! You must be really tall as your range is about 10kg more than mine!! I need big boots for the day I meet you.
