Blessing in Disguise

I am now out of a job. Funny how before I got sick, I had a little meeting about how well I was doing and how the Director thought I'd really fit in (after a little culture shock in the beginning). Then...I get sick for a week. Got the call today to say that "I'm sorry...it's not going to work out". I'm too sick to deal with this right now. But it'll be okay because I know in my gut that it was never going to work out. Oh well.

I am going to focus on my freelancing now but I still need to have some kind of steady income. Back to finding a part time job.

Lucky there's NO JUNK IN THE HOUSE I tell you!

UPDATE

I now have a job interview lined up with another Photo Agency for Monday evening. This confidence thing from losing weight and feeling better about myself and my abilities sure helps :-)

Bloody Hell! That was a bit tough though telling you while you are still sick! They don't deserve you! You'll show them Mary. Wish I could come and have a cuppa (or a Baileys) with you and let off some steam!

What a bummer but as you say a blessing in disguise.. Hope you get better quickly and can find something part time to keep you going.
Take good care of yourself.

Definitely sounds like the best thing for you, although any work is better than none when you need the money. Hopefully this is leaving you free to take the perfect job when it comes up.

Apparently its their loss! I hope you feel better soon, and I know you will look radiant in your interview on Monday!

I can't believe they've let you go already! They're nuts but I reckon you'll be much better off without them. I'm sure you'll find another job very quickly.

Hugs

Bummer on them....they don't know what they are missing out on. I know it is cliche but I always say things work out for a reason. Good luck Monday night. It is great to have that confident feeling - good onya.

Hey Mary, I hope you feel better soon. That flu is going all around Sydney at the moment! I just wanted to say a quick hello as well. I have just finished reading your site from the start and what a please it has been to read you achieve all your goals! I have read so many WW websites that I have decided to make my own a few weeks ago. Keep writing as I am loving reading your story.

Mary that was really mean of them. Obviously not the sort of place you want to work in for the long term. Good luck with the interview on Monday. Hope you will be feeling a lot better and you can show them what you are.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. There will be something better out there for you, and looks like there already is. You have a creative ability that is hard to come by so you will be fine. We are resilient women and we will kick arse whatever the situation. Are they allowed to do that? Wankers!! Jordis kicked arse tonight singing Knocking on Heavens Door. Gives me goosebumps. I am a rock chic at heart but still love the odd ballad.

Sorry, a bit all over the place with this comment. Maybe it has to do with the rum and coke. That's right, the whole reason I cam here so late at night, what sort of boots are RM's and where do you get them from??

Hey gal, sorry that you are still sick, sounds like it's got you good! I think that you should be relieved about the job not working out - your heart wasn't it in and it seemed like you were anticipating 3 months of unnecessary burden anyway. Look forward, I say, - to the future (and beyond!).

We'll have to take a raincheck on that breakfast too - we have some business to discuss ;-)

Hope you feel better tomorrow chick!

What a bunch of idiots and how cowardly of them to do it while you are sick !!! Jees some people just have no idea about anything ! But, good luck for lining up another interview so quickly - I know that your heart wasn't in that job anyway so you are probably better off without them and it is their loss, not yours !
Hope you are feeling better soon !
Take care and look after yourself ! Lotsa hugs to you.

Hope you feel better soon sweetie. I also believe that everything happens for a reason, you may not know what it is at the time but later on you'll look back and realise. There's something much better for you around the corner, that's why this has happened. Also you can relax and get better now cos you're not stressing about not being at work. Take care of yourself and get better soon!

Definitely rude of them, but whoohoo on the interview. Here's hoping the next job is a 1000 times more interesting and you love it :)

That's a bit rude, while your still sick! But, like you said it's a blessing in disguise. Good luck with the next interview!

That just sucks!! Can they do that? I know that you had previously questioned whether you were happy there but that still smacks of them doing something wrong.

Great attitude though mate, look at the silver linings. You are one of the good guys and karma will say you will come out on top.

Glad there is no junk food either :) ***big hugs***
