Week 17 - lost .4kg

I'm a little dissapointed with the result today, as I've been sitting at 79.2kg all week but this morning I am 79.7kg (naked weight). Bigger losses motivate me more. I did have wine and Thai last night though so go figure.

It's been a very good week otherwise. I have been eating really well, walking each day and drinking my water. I still can't believe how great I feel as opposed to my pre WW days. This in itself is my biggest reward.

Points Allowed: 154 points
Points Eaten: 148 points
Bonus Points: 33 points
Points Left: 41.5 points
Water Average: 1.5L/day

I'm reading lots of bad stuff about the WW pedometers lately also but mine works fine, maybe lucky?? I dropped it the other day but it's working again. I've been using it for 16 weeks now and the averages make sense BUT you have to wear thinner clothes. I wear yoga pants when I go walking. When I wear my thicker trackies, my steps don't register. I like the fact that it counts points for me too. Using a pedometer in general gets me motivated. That's my 2 cents.

Now, I can't wait for Danny Hawaii to come home so we can go shopping! I need new pants and some loving.

Have a great weekend everyone!

In such a short time our bodies have changed so much. I can't believe what a skinny ass you must have for the size 16's to be falling off! 400gms may not be the biggest loss, and bigger losses are perhaps bigger motivators, but there is someone on these blogs who always manages to make people feel really good by saying Rosemary Stanton says a loss of 500gms is a good safe weight to lose - oh wait - that's you ;)

Some weeks the weight loss may be smaller but the size may drop away as you build up some lean muscle. Mmmm. Muscles...

So start stocking your pantry already. I drink diet coke, diet vanilla coke, water. I'll just bring my own ;) We will catch up soon.

You have a great weekend too and get some sexy new pants *mwah* :)

Well done on your loss.Glad you feel great. Also glad your WW pedometer isn't a dud. I really should have sent mine back straight away and had a replacement sent, but it is too late now. I love this walking challenge don't you. It is freezing here today but I put on my scarf and gloves and strode out. Have a lovely weekend.

My WW pedometer was a dud from the start, i had to squeeze the screen to see the figures & i shouldve sent it back - but then i wore it & dropped it on convcrete - my bad. I do love the way they calculate bonus pts tho.
Well done on the loss! Your only a few kgs from your WW goal now missy, so you might find you don't have such big losses anymore - I don't mean to be negative when I say that either but soon you'll want to be maintaining, not loosing!. 400gms is still a decent loss & u exercise a fair bit so you'll have a fair bit of muscle as M said. I find you very motivating & inspirational, lovin your work!! :)

Thats Great Mary - .4 is still a good loss! Have fun shopping mate.
My first pedometer (not a ww one) was a dud. I bought it on e-bay and used it at the city to surf last year (14km), discovering that it recorded the distance 10km over the actual distance! Rude!

PS - got a gripe about the meeting (didn't stay) - will send you an email later!

Mary you are doingreally well but I undersatnd when like me it is hard to be motivated with smaller losses. But you are under the 80 mark and a 70s girl and size 16 jeans are too big!!! I think your shape is definitely changing so try to congratulate yourself on your success. Just read about the anonymous post. How dare anyone write anything negative to you and then not even give you the opportunity to tell them how you feel. Lots of hugs to make up for it.

You must be lucky - my WW pedometer was awful.

Hey, you may feel a bit dissapointed in the little teeny weeny more than likely fluid gain but how about those almost new jeans that are falling off!!?

Hey you - a loss is a loss is a loss !! You do know that as you get closer to your goal weight it does so slow down, don't you ?? It is hard to be happy with a 0.4 when you have been losing at the rate you have - it is all good - whatever the loss is.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend. We have just got back from work and I am off to help Al finish getting ready for the big day tomorrow - will try to post tomorrow night if I don't manage to make arrangements to catch up with Andrea.
Cheers for now and talk soon !

You are doing so well, and your jeans are falling off, what a great feeling that must be. I think the way our bodies change shape is much more indicative than what the scales say.

Well done on another loss! I know it doesn't seem like much compared to some of your other losses but it all helps, and you are getting so close now babe!
