Rain, Exercise & Goals

It's a little miserable and raining this morning, so I'm not going to go for my usual walk. That's two days in a row and yep, suffering withdrawal I tell you. I can't afford to be sick right now (no sick pay) so will keep myself dry. I still haven't got the exercise bike my sister bought me but Sarah has been talking about a stepper she's been using. I'll go check these out today. It's my day off and there's a Rebel Sport and Kmart up the road.

I thought I'd also post my goals for when I started WW. Looking over them, I can see that they are still my goals and that I've already achieved most of them for the short term. I aim for them to be long term now so that by the time I get to 75kg, I should have it in the bag.
  • to not be called a mamma (thanks Duncx!)
  • to stop whinging about something I can change (thanks Brendan!)
  • to fit into the clothes where I want to shop
  • to be healthier: no more bloating, tiredness, headaches
  • to be more active and able to run around w/out losing my breath
  • to feel like a woman: sexy, confident and in control
  • to enjoy life more and not be depressed about being fat
I just gave myself an extra boost by revisiting this list. I hope everyone has a great end to the week!

UPDATE

It looks like it has stopped raining for the day. Going to go into the City now and walk home on the way back, whilst also checking out the steppers. It'll be a good 1-2 hr walk. Whoot!

That's a great list. Isn't it amazing how quickly we become addicted to exercise?

I'll look out the window for you, and if you walk back via Newtown and see a red jacketed, red booted, pony tailed person. That's me. Say hi. Have a great walk. Rug up because it is still cold. Brrrrrrr.

And it is a fantastic list. I can relate to all of them.

Have a brilliant day :)

Hehe..everyone has spastic grammar etc when it comes to blogging. I often find that I don't write the word I am actually thinking. D'oh!

I walked down George Street but got to about Central and caught the bus. It was hectic on the footpaths through Chinatown! Still walked a good 2 hours though. I was looking you for M, in a red jacket with red DMs :-) It was cold but not when walking so I over dressed a little.

Brrr, now I'm cold again.

Woohoo for already starting to get some of your goals and for being able to walk! Those are great goals too - I think I might have a relook at some of mine. :)

Hi Mary, thanks for the direct link. The profile seemed to have lost it this week. I haven't time today to read your blog this week , I've missed quite a bit and don't know what you have been up to.. Will catch up with it over weekend. Have a good weekend.

fabulous goals!! especially the winging about something you can change. it really is about making little changes and creating results isnt it :) love it LOVE! glad to hear it finally stopped raining.

have you ever used a treadmill? im wondering if you walk faster on ground compared to the treadmill, noticed it yesterday and am wondering if its the same for any treadmill user... ground walking tends to be faster with them too so if you have any experience please share :)
